More info

Overheating sensor

The heating limiter protects the heater from unacceptable overheating during operation. It is triggered at a temperature above 150 ° C, opens the electrical circuit of the metering pump and turns off the heater, putting it into purge mode. After cooling, the electrical circuit is closed again. To restart the heater after the heating limiter has been triggered, it must be turned off and then on again.

Overheating sensor replacement.

Dismantling.

1. Remove the cover.

2. Remove the gasket.

3. Disconnect the heating limiter plug on the control unit.

Note: The heating limiter can be additionally secured with a washer. This washer should be replaced with a new one during installation.

4. Remove the screw and, if present, the washer.

5. Remove the heat limiter.

6. Work with the removed components.

Installation.

ATTENTION! The heating limiter must be installed by the sensor element to the heat exchanger.

1. Install a heat limiter and secure with a screw and, if necessary, a washer.

2. Tighten the screw to 2.5 ± 0.25 Nm.

3. Connect the heating limiter plug on the control unit.

4. Put on the gasket.

5. Install the cover.
