Webasto EVO Overheat Temperature Sensor,
Manufacturer | Webasto (Germany) |
Voltage | 12-24 V |
The overheat limiter measures the temperature of the heater in the heat exchanger fin zone and protects the heater from unacceptable overheating during operation. It blocks the operation of the heater when the temperature of the heated air is more than 150 ° C and the surface temperature of the heater (body) is above 80 ° C, which results in interruption of the fuel supply and switching off the heater, putting it into the purge mode. An error code is issued to the control body. To start the heater it is necessary to turn it off and on.
When checking the resistance of the overheating sensor with a multimeter, the obtained values should be compared with this graph.
Characteristics of the temperature sensor RT 2000 lie in the range from 10 oC to 30 oC.
Dismantling.
1 Remove the heater.
2 Disassemble the housing.
3 Disconnect plug X3 from control unit.
4 Remove the overheating sensor from the heater body with a suitable tool.
ATTENTION! Do not pull the wiring
