The overheating sensor (bimetallic heating limiter (3)) protects the heater from possible overheating during operation. It is triggered (opens the circuit of the pump - dispenser) at the temperature of the coolant in the heat exchanger above 127 ± 7 ° C. To restore email. chains should be pressed on the fins of the rubber cap (closing the limiter) at a heat exchanger temperature not exceeding 70 ° C (on versions with a non-automatic switch) or wait for the heat exchanger to cool (on versions with a automatic switch).
Withdrawal.
Note: The heat limiter can only be removed if it is replaced with a new one. The functionality of the limiter is checked only on the heater.
1. Remove the heater.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
3. Remove the clamp and protective cover.
4. Using a flathead screwdriver, bend the locking bracket and remove the heat limiter.
5. Perform work on the dismantled nodes.
Note: After removing the heat limiter, replace it with a new one.
Installation
ATTENTION! Incorrect installation can cause the heat exchanger to burn out.
1. Insert the new temperature limiter into the heat exchanger and press the locking bracket. Note: You should hear and feel a click, which means that the heating limiter is set correctly.
If there was no click, then:
- Clean the seat on the heating limiter, and on the heater coil.
- Ensure that the heating limiter is working and, if necessary, replace it with a new one.
2. Put on the protective cover and secure with a hose clamp.
3. Tightening torque 1 Nm ± 10%
4. Connect the electrical connectors.
5. Install the heater.
