The temperature sensor monitors the temperature of the coolant at the exit of the heat exchanger. The temperature sensor is a thermal resistance, the value of which varies depending on the temperature of the coolant. This change is tracked by the control unit.

Check temperature sensor.

When checking a liquid temperature sensor with a digital multimeter, the resistance values ​​should be within the following limits.

Resistance at 25 ° C: 990 ... .1010 Ohm

Test current: <1 mA

Replacing the temperature sensor.

Withdrawal.

1. Remove the heater.

2. Disconnect the electrical connectors. ATTENTION! Hot antifreeze can cause burns.

3. Unscrew and pull out the temperature sensor together with the sealing ring.

4. To carry out work on the repaired nodes.

Installation

1. Before installation, lubricate the O-ring with technical petroleum jelly.

2. Install the O-ring and install the temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. Tightening torque 1.5 Nm ± 10%

3. Connect the electrical connectors.

4. Install the heater.
