Eberspacher brand fuel pumps for Airtronic d2 are a combined supply, dosing and shut-off system to provide the heater with fuel from the car’s fuel tank.The fuel pump is a combined system of supplying, metering and blocking the fuel supply.. All processes occurring in Airtronic are reliably controlled by electronic control unit, and when any deviation of normal system parameters occurs, immediately happens blockage of the start or the immediate shutdown of the fuel pump. Program incorporated in the control unit provides control of 33 parameters.  If within 90 seconds after the start of the fuel pump operation there is no ignition,Airtronic will attempt to restart.

If after the next 90 seconds the ignition pump does not work again,the heater goes into emergency mode, i.e., the fuel supply is turned off and during approximately 4 minutes run-down of the fan takes place. After a certain amount of unsuccessful starts blocking of the control unit occurs. If the flame disappears during operation, the heater tries to restart. If ignition does not occur after 90 seconds after the fuel pump resumes operationor if the ignition occurs, but after 15 seconds it goes out again, the device goes into emergency mode, i.e., the fuel supply stops and for about 4 minutes occurs inertial run of the fan. Emergency shutdown can be deactivated by fast off and on. Turning off and on should not be repeated more than twice.

Control units - provide control of the heater in conjunction with the control panel. It perform the following functions such as switching the heater on and off by command from the control panel; Initial diagnostics (health check) of the heater units at start; diagnostics of heater units during all operation time.

Flame and overheating sensors - flame sensor for the autonomous heater is required to monitor the heater's temperature and to switch on the alarm mode in case of overheating or flame.
